1. bare – no coverings (no furniture, clothing, or decorations)
2. bear – animal
3. base – a plate in baseball
4. bass – (sounds like BASE) low or deep sound in music
5. bass – (rhymes with CLASS) fish

8. beat – (NOUN) a steady sound
9. beat – (VERB) to hit something
10. been – past tense of BE
11. beet – a plant or type of vegetable
12. beautiful

Homework: Cartoon or comic strip – due Wednesday
• Use all spelling words & underline only one time (If you use the same word more than once, don’t underline it again).
• Make up your own cartoon or comic strip using the paper provided in class (or download here).
• Color it and make sure it is neat and easy to read.
• Write the conversations/thoughts first, and then draw the bubbles around the words when you’re finished.
• See below for ideas if you can’t think of any
** IT MUST MAKE SENSE OR YOU LOSE 20 POINTS **
• You must give enough context clues for me to understand the meaning or it will be marked wrong.
