Welcome to
Ms. Denney's Page

Welcome to the 2020-21 School Year!

Once school begins, I do update my web page weekly, so please check here first to find the answers to your most common questions. I will begin adding information about class starting the week of 8/17. As of right now, a lot of things are still being worked out. Stay tuned!

SUPPLIES
For my Language Arts class,  you will need the following supplies:
  • 3-subject notebook (120 sheets) ** WE USE THIS EVERY DAY**
  • Pencils (no pens)
  • A Language Arts folder (orange)
  • Art supplies for projects: glue, scissors, ruler, and something to color with (crayons or colored pencils)
  • A pouch for art supplies (no plastic boxes are allowed in 5th grade)

BEHAVIOR:
  • Students will be receiving Warrior Up tickets for positive behavior. These tickets work toward a class reward.
  • If a student receives 3 negative behavior marks in a week, he/she will fill out a "Think Sheet" where the behavior must be analyzed and corrected.
  • After 3 Think Sheets, students will be referred to the office.
  • This is a new building-wide behavior system.

Grading Scale:

A+ TO A-  = 100-90
B+ TO B-  = 89-80
C+ TO C-  = 79-70
D+ TO D-  = 69-60
F   = 59 -0

Volunteers!

If your schedule allows you to come in weekly to make copies, please let me know! The fifth grade teachers would love the extra help.

Contact:
If you ever need to contact me, please do not hesitate. You can email me at denneyc@goshenlocalschools.org . I check my email in the morning, at lunch, and toward the end of the day. You may also leave a voicemail at 513.722.2225 ext. 5041, but keep in mind that I can only check my phone calls during lunch -- not while I'm teaching -- so an email might be best. If you leave a voicemail after 1:50, I probably won't hear it until the following morning. Thanks!
